Also understand that the government, during a time of war spends most of their budget on information warfare. Molding the public view via the media and internet. CENTCOM  spends most of their time engaging forums, blogs, etc with fake users to shift view of a topic, or add ridiculous ideas to muddy up the REAL information and distract everyone from the truth.
